Avocado Lime Cream Recipe

Cold Appetizer Recipe Ingredients:
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1 clove garlic -- finely chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • Tortilla chips or crackers
  • cooked shrimp
  • chili slices
  • cherry tomato halves
  • coriander sprigs

Peel and dice avocado and then place in a food processor. Add the lime juice, hot pepper sauce and garlic. Process the mixture until smooth and then season with salt and pepper.

Transfer the avocado lime cream to a bowl and cover, by placing plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the avocado lime cream. Refrigerate until serving.

To serve, place a spoonful of avocado lime cream on each chip or cracker and then top with a cooked shrimp, chili slice, cherry tomato half or coriander sprig. The cold appetizer recipe is ready to serve..nice one ! Enjoy it !

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 large red apple, finely chopped
  • 2 celery ribs, finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 heads Belgian endive, separated into leaves
  • 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts, toasted

In a small bowl, combine lemon juice and water; add apple and toss to coat. Drain and pat dry.
Combine the apple, celery, blue cheese and mayonnaise; spoon 1 tablespoonful onto each endive leaf. Sprinkle with hazelnuts. Yield: 32 appetizers...enjoy it !

  • 1 package (9 ounces) refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 40 pimiento-stuffed olives
  • 40 large pitted ripe olives
  • 3/4 cup Italian salad dressing
  • 40 thin slices pepperoni
  • 20 thin slices hard salami, halved
  • Fresh parsley sprigs, optional

Cook tortellini according to package directions; drain and rinse in cold water. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the tortellini, olives and salad dressing. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
Drain and discard marinade. For each appetizer, thread a stuffed olive, folded pepperoni slice, tortellini, folded salami piece, ripe olive and parsley sprig if desired on a toothpick or short skewer...enjoy the cold appetizer recipe !

  • 1 large cucumber, peeled, seeded, and grated
  • 1 package (8 ounce size) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1/4 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 loaf (16 ounce size) sandwich bread
thin cucumber slices


Stir together cucumber and next 5 ingredients. Spread mixture evenly over half of the bread slices, top with the remaining slices of bread. Then, trim the crusts from sandwiches. Cut diagonally and then cut in half to make little triangles. Garnish. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
